Our history, mission, vision & values

The company was established in late 2015 under the leadership of its owners, Mr Alistair Silo is the founder and director of Silo n Sons General Services (S.N.S), with its Head Office in Pofadder, Khai-Ma, Northern Cape South Africa, and a branch office in Kakamas.

Added to the company and owner’s vision of projecting this company, is to take it to greater heights as a global enterprise. It is a marvel mission of combining business operational success with social upliftment projects.

The Company evolved from the belief that there was a definite niche in general services locally within the Khai-ma region and the Northern Cape in whole, which was supported by professional management and supervisory infrastructure.

Our Mission

Silo n Sons strive to be the best in quality and perfection with a Zero harm to Employees in Civil Construction and General Service’s industry, with our motto: “Nothing ventured, Nothing gained”.

This is no idle slogan and we take pride in our manner of conducting business. Services will be personalized with dedicated staff assigned to serve clients. Staff will at all times be knowledgeable and efficient in their dealings with clients.

Our Values

Business values are based on the belief that we want to grow our own people and develop a culture of Non-discrimination, Respect, and Self-Discipline. This will allow that people will be respected as individuals with full commitment from management. We also value the fact that we need to share knowledge and work with other parties in the industry like the Seta’s.

We have adopted a policy of internal promotion of competent staff. On rare occasion we will outsource for personnel. An employee, when appointed, can word him/herself into a good position, thus determining their own career path.

We are currently rated level one BBBEE score to ensure that all processes are focused towards complying with the code of good practice legislation.

We also have a share value of 60% Historical disadvantaged youth womanly ownership in the company.

Business Strengths

We hire, train, motivate, evaluate our staff, and ensure personal hygiene is on advanced level high standard as our services offered. Our clients can trust us because we will always deliver beyond expectations.

Staffing Solutions

Outsourcing to S.N.S staff will be a cost effective HR solution. We carry public liability and workmanship insurance cover. We are compliant with Employment Equity Act, and our staff will all be SETA approved. Staff will always be presentable and in uniform suited to the corporate image of any business.

We also provide a Filler staffing solution. Should your own cleaning, general worker and general staff take annual leave, sick leave, marenity leave, compassionate leave, or absent from work, our Filler staff will comply in such circumstances.

Selection & Training

All our staff will undergo necessary in duty training as required by the Employment Act. Regular on-going training is the key to continued high performance levels and is emphasized by the Management Team of S.N.S. Site-specific training is a daily occurrence and many hours will be spent with individual staff members, ensuring that the required standards are maintained.

Client Communication

Pro-active communication between the client and S.N.S, is vitally important to the success of a contract, and regular personal contact is maintained. Formal weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meeting are held, in accordance with each client requirement, and it is in this forum that any issues, occurences or requirements are dicussed and resolved.

Daily visits will be made to all sites either by the supervisor or manager, and often both, and where possible, contact is made with the client in order to assess the daily operation.

Control Centre

All key personnel are contactable via cellular telephone or thorough our admin official.

Insurance

As a new established company, we are registered with following bodies CIDB, SAFCEC, CSD an a Liability Contractor Insurance with the value of R5 million.
